Barbados has some of the best beaches in
the Caribbean, and well-marked, well-paved roads to get
you to most of them. There are soft-as-satin beaches that
stretch virtually uninterrupted along the tranquil West
Coast; there are secluded, palm-shaped pocket beaches
dotting the rugged East Coast; and there is Bathsheba, a
beach-walker’s dream: a largely deserted crescent of
beach, bounded by the hills of the Little Scotland
district on one side and tumbling surf on the other,
that runs up the north eastern shoulder of the island
where there are standing waves that draw out world-class
surfers from around the world. |
